Dior Haute Couture

As I am pressed for time, I won't add any pictures, but I have one question:

Why is Dior Haute Couture so much more brilliant than John Galliano's creations for the regular Dior house?

    I don't know and I'm also wondering why he did better things (at least, more portable)for Dior than for his own brand(one exception: this spring shoes)

    John Galliano certainly does things decadently at his own label, maybe it's because they only really have the haute couture levels there.
